Rayner Intraocular Lenses to launch their first preloaded IOL product - C-flex® Advance Aspheric - at the ESCRS

Rayner Intraocular Lens Limited, the pioneering manufacturer of intraocular lenses, today announces the launch of the company’s first preloaded IOL product - C-flex®®Advance Aspheric - at the XXXI European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons Meeting, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The C-flex® Advance Aspheric combines all the clinically proven benefits of the aberration-neutral C-flex® Aspheric IOL, with a mini incision and a preloaded IOL delivery system that eliminates handling of the acrylic lens in Theatre. It also helps reduce the chances of IOL damage or contamination and allows for an SIA neutral implantation through an incision size of 2.2mm or 2.4mm into the bag. C-flex® Advance Aspheric is available in power range +8.0 D to +34.0 D in 0.5 D increments.
Dr. David Kent from the Aut Even Hospital in Kilkenny and Barringtons Hospital in Limerick, has welcomed the launch: "The Advance preloaded IOL is the welcome next step in facilitating an even more streamlined cataract surgery. It permits a no touch injection technique that ensures safe delivery through a 2.2 mm incision and eliminates any risk of damage to the lens either through handling or incorrect insertion into a cartridge. All in all this is good news for trainees, nurses and surgeons".

The C-flex®® Advance Aspheric is the first preloaded IOL product by Rayner, with a promising future ahead.
